Though most associate a diet solution and dieting to weight loss and the attainment of a weight befitting a glass hour figure for females and an inverted triangle figure for males, I would define the term diet solution as one that actually encompasses a properly calculated nutritional program catered to an individual so as to achieve a healthy body mass index (BMI) and well-balanced fat to muscle ratio.

Henceforth, the baseline condition of the individual determines the diet solution or nutritional program. If he or she has a high BMI for instance, he or she will be considered overweight and a diet solution or program catered to the loss of weight but at the same time achieving a well balanced fat to muscle ratio worked out. Vice versa, if the individual has a low BMI, he or she will be considered underweight and a proper diet solution or program to address the nutritional deficiencies or inadequacies needs to be implemented.
A proper diet solution will take into account the individual’s normal diet before embarking on the proper program as well as the individual’s basal metabolic rate and daily activity level.

Be aware though that a diet solution is only part of the equation. Most of the time, the diet solution or nutritional program needs to be supplemented with a proper exercise regime. Only then, will there be a satisfactory and reasonable predictable outcome if proper instructions are adhered to.

There are many fitness centers and diet centers offering proper programs to cater to your needs. A holistic proper center should have properly trained personal trainers and dietitians or nutritions who can address your concerns and tailor the program to your needs. Be very careful of those who promise you results without much explanation and using very simple methods not requiring much effort on your part. Remember that result begets outcome and if it is that simple to achieve results, there won’t be so many people in need of help with regards to their weight and body mass!! Do not be afraid to ask questions as you have the right to know what you are going for and what you should expect.

Another important point I should add is a diet solution for those who think they are overweight or laterally challenged is NOT not eating! Starving yourself is not the solution. In fact you might end up gorging later on and making matters worse if you are not careful. A diet solution is a properly catered nutrition program preferably coupled with an appropriate fitness regime.
